The Victory Trip!

The Quad Queen and I have been coming to Vegas for almost 20 years. Trips in those early days were pretty meagre affairs. We didn't have much dough and our understanding of how to work the comp system was marginal to non-existent.

We'd pay $59 or $69 for a room and our gambling budget was under a hundred a day.

It was great. But I hated sweating every penny and not being able to do the things we wanted to do.

We had problems back home that we tried to put out of our minds but usually couldn't. Those trips were amazing fun but there was always a worry in the back of my mind.

We'd talk about the day when these things would be lifted off our shoulders, when we could do Vegas in the way we wanted without strain or worry. Someday, we'd have a trip. And this trip would be called The Victory Trip.

In recent years we realized we were getting closer but weren't quite there yet.
Things are never perfect in life, you know. It is a balancing act of worry and joy. We reached the point where we have enough budget that we can pretty much play the way we want to in Vegas. We have offers at places we like to stay, and things overall, right now, are balanced. The opportunity was there for both of us to take a decent length holiday, and it all came together.

We decided to call this trip The Victory Trip. Why not? It's close enough... and besides that, with the changes at Royal Canadian Veeblefetzer, where I pound out grommets for a living, I've been moved back to the size 7 grommet line starting in a couple of weeks.

So it all starts Saturday night, Feb. 16th!!!

We're booked on the Beechwood Flameliner Turbopunt 3495 flight out of Flusherville Regional Airodrome to Toronto, and from there on the 8:25pm flight out to Vegas. We get in about 10:30pm Vegas time.

Viva la Victory Trip!!!!!!
