Those Unpredictable and Empty Offers!

Offers are so unpredictable.

Take, for example, MGM's MLife aka MILF offers. After doing my best to stiff the living hell out of them the last two trips, taking the freeplay and free rooms and resort credit, and giving back a small percentage of my previous play, the offers from them have pretty much dried up.

Oh sure, I still get the 'Prevailing Rate Discount' and 'Buy 3 tickets to Midnight Boner, get on at 15% off' ones, but for the most part, the goodies from MILF properties have dried up.

Except for one.


Mandalay Bay. I just got a couple of offers in the hopper. One is two nights, $100 free play, $100 resort credit, the other is the same, except three nights.

I feel so exclusive. Or is that excluded?

I jumped on it and booked them before they wise up - for a future, future trip, not the future trip. I already have Luxor booked for the future trip.

Here's a look at my play history this year.

I've lost over $1200 at Mandalay Bay, so maybe that's why they are still showing me some dirty back alley comp love.

But between Luxor and Mandalay Pay this year, I've booked 5 comped nights at Luxor in a Tower Deluxe room, and 9 comped nights at MB.

The freeplay total is $610, and I've gotten $425 in resort credit. For the most part, I've had to pay resort fees of around $35 a night, but some times it was comped.

$1500 loss against 14 nights, with $1035 in goodies, I think that's not too shabby.

Meanwhile, triggered by my play at Laughlin last year at Aquarius, I got a surprise "offer" from the Stratosphere.

This looks like they really want my business - except there is nothing in the offer. Naught a sausage. Bugger all.

It's so chuckly and shameful when a lower-tier property pies themselves in the face.

The next day, I received this:

Very nice of Michael Scribble, the boss of the Strat, to say he 'wants to apologize'. Well, if you want to, then do so, and bring on the free goodies.

I'm waiting with bated breath to see what's coming. Maybe a tier discount off of the Anxiety Coaster, or the Death Drop Zipline. Maybe something better.
