T-02h30m Command Module
Well I have to say, I'm not very impressed with the Command Module and the British Columbia capsule.
It looks a bit flimsy, and I'm not sure how it will do under launch conditions, let alone re-entry.
T-04h30m Checked in already?
How do they do it what with the computers and swiping and stuff?! Somehow I've checked in hours before I arrive. In fact, I did this last night.
I presume I'll have to visit a kiosk or something to get a key - or is the key on my phone somehow?
I can barely manage the MGM Resorts app, how am I supposed to pilot the Command Module?
The good news is I'm all packed, and for once, I'm done a couple of hours before leaving for Cape Flusherville. So I can relax a bit. Then I'll put my spacesuit on, kiss Chippy on the top of her little Chihuahuah head, pat her gigantic Dane ass, and begin my journey to Moon Vegas. I may do the same for the Quad Queen.
T-22h30m Last minute capsule maintenance
Everyone should have a buddy like Jimmy Poon. He's worked day and night designing and building the Apollo Yo-Leven Command Module Capsule 'British Columbia'. He even managed to save some money by repurposing junked 737-MAX parts we found behind the Boeing factory, along with an old Volkswagen Beetle.
At the last second - well, not really, 24 hours before liftoff actually - Jimmy Poon upgraded the seat in the Command Module from the rusty overturned bucket we had in there to a premium red seat.
Tray tables are still dirty.
She's on the pad! T-24h30m and counting.
Everything is looking good for the liftoff of Apollo Yo-Leven tomorrow. The massive, towering Heartburn 5 rocket is on the pad.
It took two full days to move the Heartburn 5 from the Vehicle Assembly Building down the long accessway to Launchpad 69B.

The heavy tractor system moving the Heartburn 5 to the pad earlier this week. |
The incredible team here at Cape Flusherville are painstakingly completing the rocket fueling process, thoroughly testing and re-testing the guidance system, and - if there's time - wiping down the tray tables.
Shouldn't those by Trey tables ?
