Fremont Buffet Tour

Fremont's buffet is not one of my favorites. I find it hard to find something I really enjoy eating there. So, it made sense that we would have lunch there. Because free.

Day 7 part 2

Yes, the kiosk promo thing had provided us with lunch comps. We did a little STP to get the tier credits needed for the kiosk swipe.

Lookit me, I got four deuces on dime triple play Super Slutty Times Pay. Now that's grabbin' 'em right by the Deal button.

With great trepidation, we went into the buffet. Maybe others like this buffet, I just can't. And I think I figured out why.

Fremont's buffet seems a lot bigger than it really is. That's because there are mirrors everywhere, which create the illusion that it seats 1250 people. In fact, the Fremont buffet seats 27 people, maxed out. There's very little turnover in the food at that rate, compared with the Main Street Station buffet.

These five tables are all there are at the Fremont Buffet. The rest of them are an illusion, done with mirrors.

Here's what I managed to come up with for round one. Some salad with soggy 'maters, some fried chicken, and one waffle fry. At least the beets are good for my iron.

Thinking ahead to the future (this moment right here where I would write about these things), I thought I would take photos of most of the food. Rather than just whining about a buffet I don't enjoy but go to anyway (because free), I'd let you be the judge.

Scrambled coldcuts. In the background, corn goo and ptomaine potato salad.

A selection of butchered melons, cucumber salad, Marconi salad.

Ribs, meet chicken.

Chopsticks up if you know what this is. Also potstickers, stir fried things, and something fried rices.

Every buffet's safe haven - dessert. Acceptable.

Taking care of the Zucchini and Squash station. Same name as the law firm that handled my last altercation.

Delicious Beef Oganoff, along with unknown. Chicken in au brown?

These are my favorite two photos in the series. you want somma the red? Or the yella?

Good thing this is all you can eat. Go to town!
Don't get cheap on me, now.

Moving on from the visual arts... we played a few things. I won $30 on one spin of this slot, and then lost $46 dollars immediately after.

The Quad Queen was hammering away at Treasure Chest. Meanwhile I was kind of in a panic, going from thing to thing to thing.

She sent me these:

She hit four Pointies twice. Once for 140 quarters, and on the second, 500 quarters - a pretty rare Treasure Chest draw. I don't think I've ever had one.

Finally Boner Deluxe showed me some love in the mine shaft.

This was all great fun, but even more fun - my cousins were to arrive sometime today! We headed over to Main Street Station to do the kiosk thing and hang around until Dr. Raoul Shiboubou and family showed up.

And we got the word - they'd landed!

    1. I'm not 100% sure but I think that food you couldn't identify may have been Pre-chewed CTUG

    2. Buffet looks shady for a Vegas Buffet but not all that bad in general.

    3. I'll have some of the yella, and don't get cheap on me.
