Flying Down To Rio

I hate having to apologize for Mike Nesmith being a Monkee, because he really did have an interesting and even groundbreaking career outside the Prefab Four, pioneering the music video, and penning some damn fine tunes.

One of my favorites is this bouncy, light-hearted ditty called Rio.

I've set foot in Rio Las Vegas perhaps three times in my 75 trips. I've never stayed there.

Tomorrow, that all changes!

Rio Las Vegas is under new management, and has been renovating, and had/has an offer match promotion.

And it worked for me! I scored four nights in a renovated suite (no resort fee, either), $100 in food, and some freeplay if I earn a couple of hundred points.

So, tomorrow, Boxing Day, I fly out to Las Vegas to stay at Rio for the very first time!!!

Yup, this trip is not a 'there and back' to Detroit/Windsor, but a triangle - Tampa, Detroit, Vegas, and back to Tampa.
