Royal Flusher's Daily Vegas Pic - June 10, 2018 - North Strip

Ah the beleaguered North Strip... home of the Westward Ho, Circus Circus, Stardust, the Fontainebleau and the Riviera.

Correction - home of the Westward Ho, Circus Circus, Stardust, the Fontainebleau and the Riviera.

Riviera and Circus Circus
At this writing, there is some hope that the troubled Resorts World and FontaineDrew projects will breathe new life into this area.

(The slightly unfinished Fontainebleau was sold and the new owners plan to name it The Drew - a sentimental, but ultimately questionable choice of names.)

Meanwhile, we can remember what it was like and ponder the future. And don't forget to take in and enjoy Circus Circus, one of the last outposts of old Vegas.

Farewell to the Riviera

    1. Everytime I see a picture of the Riviera, I smile just a little. That was where I stayed on my first Vegas trip with a group of friends in 2002. Didn't make it back till 2007, but after that I've been going a couple times a year chasing that same feeling of the first trip. Never will have that first time feeling again, but it's fun to think about.
